How does scanning work?

Private Gallery uses an AI model that runs entirely on your device — no internet connection is required and no images ever leave your phone. When you start a scan, the app analyses each photo and video locally and flags content based on the categories you have selected. Results are shown only to you and are never uploaded anywhere.

What is the Vault?

The Vault is a secure, hidden area within the app where you can move photos and videos you want to keep private. Files in the Vault are excluded from your regular photo library and from any other apps that have access to your gallery. They remain on your device — they are simply stored in a protected location that only Private Gallery can access.

How do referrals work?

Every Private Gallery installation has a unique referral code. Share yours with a friend — when they install the app and enter your code, both of you receive 7 days of PRO access free of charge. You can find your referral code in the app's Settings screen. Referral rewards are subject to fair-use limits; see our Terms of Service for details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

PRO subscriptions are managed by Google Play. To cancel, open the Google Play Store app on your Android device, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, find Private Gallery PRO, and tap Cancel subscription. Your PRO access will continue until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for any subsequent period.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All photo and video processing happens locally on your device — we never receive your media or scan results. The only data our servers hold is an anonymous random device ID and your PRO subscription status. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
